Creative jazz trumpet with an avantgarde touch

Miklós Mákó / MM7 Secret Jazz

MM7 Secret Jazz is the cover name for the solo project of master jazz trumpeter Miklós Mákó.

Miklós traveled around the globe as a member of Barry White’s horn section on the late star’s Icon tour. Besides, Miklós is a household name in Hungarian jazz and pop music circles as he has played with virtually everyone, from the legendary group LGT to the jazz vocal quartet Cotton Club Singers.

Miklós appeared on dozens of albums as a session player and toured Europe with the late pianist extraordinaire György Szabados, with whom he also recorded a piano-trumpet duo album titled The Heart of Beauty (A szépség szíve), released on Fonó records.

In 2007, Miklós teamed up with producer Péter Háry and talented young keyboarder Mirkó Milosevics to go for his own musical ideas. The first fruit of their collaboration is MM7 Secret Jazz’s debut single released in November, 2008.

In 2016, Miklós completed his first full solo album, titled A Cart Made of Glass. Recorded live in the studio, the album features contemporary free music where electronic instruments are used as traditional acoustic instruments, with the resulting pieces recorded entirely without overdubs.

The album was created with the kind support of Hungary's National Cultural Fund (NKA).
