Soul, blues with a hint of rock and jazz – singer-songwriter Martina Király is a singers' singer and an in-demand lyricist/composer in her native country of Hungary. A graduate of the Jazz Faculty of Budapest’s Franz Liszt Music Academy, she has worked extensively in the local jazz, pop and rock’n’roll scene, having collaborated with some of the biggest stars of the country.

She has released three solo albums to date and appeared on another 16 as a featured artist. Her work has been recognized with a number of awards, including Pop songwriter of the year in 2012.

Her 2019 single, Dream On, was mixed by 2-time Grammy winner producer Paul Brown (Al Jarreau, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross) and mastered by renowned sound engineer Ross Pallone (Alan Parsons Project, Christopher Cross).

She has toured in Germany, Sweden, the Ukraine and Italy, either as solo artist or with various bands.

 

Martina’s 2024 single, I’m Ready is a soulful, light-rock take on her original composition, capturing the joy of a spiritual uplift. The song received outstanding reviews and made it to several Spotify playlists.

Now Martina is back with Heaven and Wine, a dreamy yet powerful jazz/neo-soul/rock tune about the joy of true love. The track features ace trumpeter Áron Koós-Hutás whose masterful contribution creates a brilliant interplay with Martina's lead vocals.

Both Heaven and Wine and I'm Ready were produced, mixed and mastered by Zoltan Dandó who also plays guitars, bass and keys on both tracks. Drums were added by Atus Zombori. Vocals, drums and trumpet were recorded by Balázs Pálfi at the Sonic Garden Studio in Budapest, Hungary.​​
