The Altamira Project is a joint musical endeavour of guitarist Gabor Olgyay and percussionist Aurel Holló. While most describe their style as world music, it is actually uniquely crafted compositions which reflect the creativity and openness of these two fine musicians.
Gábor Olgyay is a self-taught guitarist who lives far away from the cities, seeking the same harmony which radiates from his uniquely sounding compositions. He does not regard himself as a composer but as a constructive and persistent individual who strives for turning his musical ideas into reality. Aurél Holló is a member of the world-renowned AMADINDA percussion group. He is also a composer, a music teacher, a multi-talented musician who likes to play and write in various musical styles from contemporary music to state-of-the-art jazz-rock fusion.
